ASI Factory Audits

Factory audits are necessary to ensure promotional products are being manufactured ethically and to specified safety standards. Some critics question their efficacy while proponents say they’re crucial to protect companies and improve working conditions. Can they both be right?

The Counselor article “Can You Rely On Factory Audits” examines the issues surrounding audits and if they can ensure a supply chain is safe from abuses. To gain insights on the issues, Counselor interviewed industry experts, including Dee Fenton, QCA’s executive director.

“It’s essential to be very clear on what is to be audited and the standards against which the factory will be measured. Without clear direction, audits may not be as effective as they could be, and brands could be exposed to liability,” she says.
