QCA’s board of directors is comprised of leaders in the promotional products industry and is an important governance mechanism of the Quality Certification Alliance. The primary role of the QCA Board of Directors is to provide strategic guidance, direction and fiduciary oversight for the organization.

alphabroder – David Clifton, President of the Board

David CliftonDavid Clifton, is the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Top 40 supplier alphabroder. He serves as a board member and on the marketing committee.

Clifton joined alphabroder as CMO in April 2013. He is responsible for all aspects of corporate branding and marketing as well as overseeing the alphabroder.com channel/platform including site design, functionality and optimization.

Prior to joining alphabroder, Clifton was Senior Vice President at Rev Worldwide, where he remains a strategic advisor. Clifton served as the Executive Director of Marketing for Dell’s Consumer and Small Business Division from May 2006 to April 2012, during his tenure he had responsibility for the North American and Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. Polyconcept – Larry Whitney, Immediate Past President of the Board

Larry WhitneyLarry Whitney has been with Polyconcept, since 2005. As Director, Global Compliance, he provides guidance to Polyconcept’s business units – PCNA in North America, PFCI in Europe and Polyconcept GBS in Asia; on issues related to Corporate Social Responsibility, Product Safety, and Import regulations.

Larry is a past President of the Board of Directors for Quality Certification Alliance (QCA) and serves on QCA’s compliance committee. He also serves on PPAI’s Product Responsibility Action Group (PRAG). In addition, for a number of years, he has participated in PPAI’s L.E.A.D. meetings on Capitol Hill, educating members of Congress on key issues related to the promotional products industry.

Larry is a Certified Supply Chain Professional through APICS, and has a Certificate in Product Safety Management from the John Cook School of Business at St. Louis University. He has spoken on issues related to product safety and regulations governing imported products at events held by the International Product Health & Safety Organization, National Association of Foreign Trade Zones and PPAI.


Logomark – Joe Chanin, Secretary of the Board

Joe ChaninJoe Chanin is the Vice President of Purchasing and Compliance at industry supplier Logomark where he has served in that capacity since 2006.

Chanin is a thirty-plus year industry veteran having worked with just two promotional products companies during that time.

After eight years in a purchasing capacity at Barlow, he joined Logomark as Vice President of Sales twenty-two years ago. In 2002, he transitioned to Vice President of Purchasing and made his entrée into compliance around 2006.

In addition to serving as QCA’s Secretary to the Board, Chanin serves on QCA’s compliance committee, which is responsible for evaluating all audit performance in relation to demonstrating compliance with QCA standards and requirements and maintaining those standards.



Gemline – Andy Blahnik, Board Member and Compliance Committee Chair

Andy BlahnikAndy is the Quality and Compliance Manager at Gemline, a premier supplier in the promotional products industry. In his role, he is responsible for quality and compliance of products and ensuring the factories used meet local and international standards.

Andy travels to overseas factories frequently to review processes and products and also work closely with local teams. Prior to his role at Gemline, Andy was stationed in China working for a provider of inspections, audits and testing. Before that, he was employed by a sourcing solutions provider.

Andy has experience on the ground working with factories both on the quality of the product and compliance of their facilities.


Chameleon like – Pierre Martichoux, Board Member

Pierre MartichouxPierre Martichoux is President of industry supplier Chameleon like. Born in Paris, Martichoux grew up in France where he studied at Sciences Po (Paris Institute of Political Studies). After graduating and completing his military service as an officer in the French Army, he took his first job in sales for Press Book Prat, a French manufacturer of artists’ portfolios and presentation materials.

In 1992, Martichoux was promoted to Sales Manager for the US and Canadian markets. Then in 1998, he opted to take a chance and founded Chameleon Books & Journals. The company was to manufacture and market a line of journals, notebooks, and folders to both the Art Supply and Gift Retail markets and the Promotional Industry. After a modest yet successful start selling products to both retail and promotional markets, the company’s growth as a manufacturer of custom and made to order journals and notebooks became such that it dedicated itself to the promotional market. In 2003, the Company changed its name to Chameleon like, Inc. By 2013 the company was doing over $5-million in annual sales and is now a formidable $10-million industry supplier. Prime Line – Jeff Lederer, Board Member

Jeff LedererJeff Lederer is President of Prime Line, now the hard goods division of alphabroder, and a member of ab’s executive committee.

Lederer joined the company in 1993 as a regional sales manager and has since worked in a variety of sales, marketing and executive roles at Prime. He has been a key visionary in helping to shape the organization in areas such as product development, new service offerings, significant web presence and with Prime’s overall focus on giving the highest levels of service. Lederer has traveled extensively throughout the world and represents Prime as the only US member of IPPAG, the International Partnership for Promotions and Gifts.

Lederer has played a key role in Prime’s merger, acquisitions and alliances with these industry suppliers — alphabroder (2017), Jetline (2016), Points of Light (2014), Source Abroad (2014), BUILT (2011) and Leeman New York (2010).

He has three beautiful children and lives in Greenwich, CT with his wife, Wendy.


Bic Graphic NA – Francine Dupuis, Board Member

Francine DupuisFrancine Dupuis (“Fran”) has spent over seven years in the promotional products business and currently serves as the Vice President-Legal at BIC Graphic NA, one of the largest suppliers in the promotional products industry and a leader in product safety, quality assurance, social responsibility, supply chain security and environmental stewardship. Fran joined BIC Graphic after spending five years as in-house counsel for Catalina Marketing Corporation and five years in private practice. Fran earned her J.D. from Florida State University College of Law, Cum laude, and her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University. Fran is a registered patent attorney and admitted to practice law in Florida & U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida. Fran’s favorite promotional product is BIC Graphic NA’s KOOZIE® Tripple Vacuum Tumbler.


SnugZ USA – Brandon Mackay, MAS, Board Member and Marketing Committee Chair

Brandon MackayBrandon Mackay is the owner and CEO of SnugZ USA based in Salt Lake City, Utah. In addition to his board role, he serves as chair of QCA’s Marketing committee. His laid back, employee-empowered leadership style has taken a small family business of six and transformed it into an industry powerhouse with over $40-million in annual sales and around 500 employees.

Mackay has served on various boards, committees and work groups inside and outside the promotional products industry. He is Six-Sigma Lean Certified and is a strong advocate for process improvement and employee development.

Mackay currently resides in Utah with his wife of 22 years, Liz, their four children and two dogs. In his free time, you’ll find him outside enjoying all Utah has to offer from skiing, biking and running to watch his children in their various sports.
